Meet our team: driven pioneers with unmatched expertise in finance, technology, and growth. Led by Tim and Eddie, we navigate complex challenges, driving transformative success in global and startup landscapes.
Tim Merryweather
Tim is an accomplished finance leader with extensive experience in M&A, strategy, and finance transformations at major global financial institutions. His career began at Deloitte in Cape Town as a Chartered Accountant before moving to a senior role in London, driving growth through acquisitions. At ICAP, he advanced to APAC CFO in Singapore, leading significant M&A deals, including a notable $245 million FinTech transaction.
Later, as CFO in the Middle East, he tripled revenues and managed a $1 billion balance sheet. Returning to South Africa, Tim significantly increased assets under management as CFO of a disruptive asset management firm, marking a 500% growth over five years.
Eddie O'Neill
Eddie is a visionary leader in the global tech and services sector, building successful businesses across the UK, Europe, APAC, South Africa, and the US. He started in banking and finance, then founded an IT consultancy in 2005, growing it into a global powerhouse with clients like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. This expansion stretched from the UK to Asia and the US, culminating in the sale of his company to a major US technology firm.
Eddie's work included acquisitions, developing leading data platforms, and empowering a global team. Now in South Africa, he leverages his expertise in VC spaces, driving significant growth across various industries.
